Anna Greyhem's work refuses to stay in one lane. Poems bleed into prose, chapters fracture, stories spill beyond the page. They don't just ask to be read. They ask to be felt. Sometimes, they even ask you to choose a path.

In her words

I didn't always know I was going to become a writer.

I became a psychologist because I wanted to understand people. Then I became a consultant because I thought I was supposed to. Somewhere along the way I became exhausted enough to realize that I had spent years becoming everything except myself.

So I quit.

I went back to the stories I had been writing since I was a child and discovered they had been waiting for me all along.

How life feels… is the first piece of that world. It is a book about identity, becoming, longing, love, and death. But it is also the place where everything else begins.
